DEMOCRATIC CONTENT OF DEMOCRACY

Learned ones in socio-political sciences, the intellectuals and the political leaders of Pakistan (or for that matter almost of the majority of the world) are nearly unanimous in support of the democratic dispensation in a country. Without questioning the veracity of this unanimity it is considered only logical to firstly define and secondly ask a few questions that remain unanswered to date in this context.

A widely accepted Definition of democracy goes something like “government of the people, for the people and by the people’. In present day scenario it would be only fair in case the word ‘people’ is replaced with the word ‘voter’. Flowing from this definition are the following assumptions:-

1.      A sizably large majority of the voters gets involved in the electioneering process of creating a democratic dispensation. It can be safely mentioned that more than fifty percent is a number that can be considered appropriate in this context without any fear of contradiction from all right minded people. However it would be most fair, very logical and truly ideal if the party forming a government (at any level) enjoys the mandate of more than fifty percent voters of the electorate.

2.      It is the voters that run the government in all walks of the national life aiming at their well being at the least.

Above mentioned definition and the assumptions give way to some questions that merit serious consideration from all sane people. Here are the most pertinent ones:-

1.      Is it fair to term a system democratic that comes in to being through an electioneering process wherein less than fifty percent voters have turned up to cast their votes?

2.      Is it appropriate to consider a system democratic wherein the voters are left to the mercy of those officials who are paid from the revenue generated from the taxes paid by the people?

Fairness of the above assumptions and a positively loud NO to the above two questions is very hard to dismiss in any right way. These are the stark naked facts staring in to the eyes of all thinking people living in this word in general and our beloved country Pakistan in particular.

Humans and Almighty Allah

Humans are required to worship Allah Almighty. Worship implies doing all that Allah desires and NOT doing all that He prohibits. We can only get to know these (i.e. what is to be done and what is not to be done) in detail through His messengers. Human conscious too helps us in knowing and determining the right. The latter, however is prone to distortion especially when Satan is all out and always freely available to distract humans from the right path. This highlights the need of rightly guided humans that are out of the reach of Satan. SHOULD we not make efforts to identify these rightly guided humans who are within our reach to get hold to inquire what we do not know!! 

1.     Progress can be sustainable if carried out systematically in various fields of material, social and spiritual life.

Political parties are there to work for abuse of power, corruption and friction in the system.

Allah's Help

     A believer interested in Allah’s help will qualify for the same when he walks the path of steadfastness and prayer. These two i.e. steadfastness and prayer are the key to Allah’s help. Allah Almighty declares that the steadfast would find Him with them as and when they need Him.  

Believer and Creator Lord's Messenger

  A believer has no option but to respect the teachings of Creator Lord's messengers. He should be all ears making earnest endevour to comprehend what the messenger has said. Those who do not follow this do qualify to be disbelievers and are destined a painful punishment.

THE

“NUMBER TWO SYSTEM”

OF GOVERNANCE

The Creator Lord of all humans and indeed of the entire universe has ordained a system operating everything in the world that we can perceive and also that that we are unable to pick out. HE alone possesses and retains the ultimate power to keep the system functional.

The declared system of managing the collective affairs of all humans as spelled out by Almighty Allah can be summarized as “Sovereignty to Govern is His domain, and it is made operational through His appointees and their aficionada”. For reference sake let us term it as “number one system”. It is top down and is based on the enormous love and affection that the Creator Lord desires and displays for all humans. The recorded history of humankind, however, reveals that they have mostly been working against this owing (probably) to the satanic interference in their affairs. We, therefore, note with understandable concern that in the known history of humankind only a handful numbers of persons are seen in the governmental control of operating this system as His appointees and their aficionado.   

Humans are Almighty Allah’s proud creation. They are His deputy managers on this planet. He has gifted them with (fractions of) His power in almost all spheres of life and living. Within the control that Allah Almighty exercises over His creation, He has however allowed the humans to have their way in the defined spheres of life. He desires that the humans live their life as His obedient and obliging servants and enjoy this world in the company of other creatures found on or around this planet. He also desires that the humans become entitled to be eligible for His indefinite blessings that wait for them for the infinite life span beginning with the ending of this life.

Understanding of the nature of His creation and knowledge of the performance of humans has, however, provoked the Creator Lord, once again out of sheer and unlimited mercy and infinitely deep love for His creation, to outline a “number two system” of governing their collective affairs. This system aims at ensuring their well being in the life of this world without guaranteeing their ultimate success in the life hereafter.

In the “number one system” Almighty Allah retains the authority and also the responsibility with Him and in the “number two system” He desires of (partly) handing it over to the humans. Where the “number one system” is operated by the persons of His choosing, in the “number two system” it is the humans that are entitled to nominate and choose their representatives to steer the system. In the “number one system” the total command and control rests with Him and He remains entirely responsible for the behaviour of His chosen ones. Logically speaking, therefore, the success of “number two system” should be directly proportional to the extent of the command and control of the humans and also the level of their hold on the doings of their nominated/chosen ones.    

War and the Generals

1. It is absolutely correct that war is too serious a business to be left to Generals alone. It is often seen that the statesmen have to snatch PEACE from the clutches of war mongering Generals.
2. It is difficult for the waring Generals to talk of PEACE even if they are able to think of the same.
